Mangrove located along Sungei Tampines @ Pasir Ris Park. Located just next to the Pasir Ris housing estate, there is another side of Singapore. A mangrove park where our NPark built boardwalk inside the mangrove so that park visitors can watch mangrove wildlife, enjoy the mangrove environment. You will be surprised to know that a lot of Singaporeans do not know this place. I only get to know this place in end 2019 after I retire and started to explore the parks until I chanced upon this place. I have since recommended this place to lots of friends and their feedback to me was "I didn't know there is such place in Singapore other then Sungei Buloh". So I am going to share my nature walk experience on 10 Jun 2022 at  Pasir Ris Park so that if you want an outing instead of shopping, do give Pasir Ris a visit.  Afterall, Singapore is not just about shopping. Lots of people visit Pasir Ris Beach to picnic and camp or to cycle. They went right to the beach spend the day there a

At 163.63m, Bukit Timah sits at the highest point of Singapore. I tried the easy way to hike up Bukit Timah Summit and enjoyed my solo hike. The park can be easily reach by public transport, from Beauty World MRT station. Follow the MRT signage, exit towards Beauty World Centre. (Exit A). Head to Level 4 where the Beauty World food Centre (hawker centre) is located. Look for the link to the overhead bridge. Cross the overhead bridge and we are already at the rail corridor. (See above picture) A small section of rail to represent the old KTM Railway Bridge/ Hindhede crossing. We are now walking on the rail corridor towards Bukit Timah Nature Park. Once we reach Hindhede crossing, look out for the path on the right. Turn right and we are heading towards Bukit Timah Nature Park.  Source from Ministry of National Development The Rail Corridor was formerly a railway line that was used for commuting and transporting goods between Singapore and the rest of the Malay Peninsula at the beginni

Changi Bay Point, sea view from toilet. 7th May 2022 on a stormy day. If you ask me what is there to see at Changi Bay Point, I will recommend you to visit its toilet and have to watch the sea from the toilet.  We started on a sunny morning and ended caught in the rain. We were lucky that we decided to speed up our walking speed to seek shelter at the toilet which is located further than the Changi Bay Point shelter as indicated in the google map. Being our first trip here, we do not expect to be greeted with such a great view from a free public toilet in a park. Changi Bay Point, toilet. 7th May 2022 on a stormy day. The toilet were well maintained. It is new, so everything works well. There is a free drinking water dispenser, and a paid soft drink machine there.  As for cleanliness , it is important that users made it a point to not dirty the toilet so that it will not be dirty for the next user. Of course the cleaners will do their part to clean the toilet at the appointed time, b
