Changi Bay Point, sea view from toilet. 7th May 2022 on a stormy day. If you ask me what is there to see at Changi Bay Point, I will recommend you to visit its toilet and have to watch the sea from the toilet.
We started on a sunny morning and ended caught in the rain.
We were lucky that we decided to speed up our walking speed to seek shelter at the toilet which is located further than the Changi Bay Point shelter as indicated in the google map.
Being our first trip here, we do not expect to be greeted with such a great view from a free public toilet in a park.
Changi Bay Point, toilet. 7th May 2022 on a stormy day. The toilet were well maintained. It is new, so everything works well. There is a free drinking water dispenser, and a paid soft drink machine there. As for cleanliness , it is important that users made it a point to not dirty the toilet so that it will not be dirty for the next user. Of course the cleaners will do their part to clean the toilet at the appointed time, but if the user dirty it just after the cleaning is done, there is nothing to be done about it and the toilet will be dirty for the whole day.
7th May 2022 Trail between car park 6 and car park 7. Changi beach car park 7 is located next to the entrance of Changi Bay Point. The day when we visited, it was full, so we drove back to car park 6 to park our car. (1 km away). Walking is no issue for us, so we parked at car park 6, use the toilet before walking to car park 7. As you can see from the above picture, the trail is well shaded, so for nature lovers, it is also a good place to stroll and spot some local birds here. The toilet at car park 6 is manageable. However, the toilet at car park 7 was badly choked. By the way, car park 6 is free while we need to pay parking frees at car park 7.
Car Park 7, trail to to be beach. We actually took a wrong walk towards the beach thinking that Changi Bay point should be alongside the beach. We were wrong. However, the scenery here is beautiful. Just like in Coney Island.
Car Park 7, Beach. Blessed even when we took the wrong turn. The beach is beautiful and water is clear. We were thinking of visiting this place again for sun tanning. However a friend shared with me that this beach is full of sand flies. She was bitten (Plenty of it) when she was here to take picture of the airplane during air show.
There is actually a properly laid out bridge / entrance to track along Changi Bay Point. We need to walk towards the main road from Car Park 7 before we reach the entrance of this park. The park has no shelter. So better to equip yourself with umbrellas and raincoat.
Do look out for the beautiful grass flowers and seeds. Spotted this uncommon spider.
Singapore weather changes any minute. So it is important to bring along some biscuit while going for a walk here (In addition to raining gear). We were caught in the rain for 1 hour. Lucky we have biscuits with us to ease our hunger while taking shelter at the one and only toilet here. Somehow we enjoyed the weather when its gonna rain. Cause, the sun will be covered by clouds and will not be too hot.
Here is the photo video for the trip on 7 May with the weather changes from very sunny to stormy rainy.
16 May 2022 - Toilet sea view on a bright sunny day.
16 May 2022 - On a bright sunny day. Birds were out during the bright sunny day. We enjoyed birding though the heat is hot hot hot.
Here is another photo video on our trip on 16th May 2022. You can see how many types of birds we spotted.
In conclusion, this is a good place to visit if you are not afraid of the sun. Perhaps if you do not like to walk, cycling would be recommended here as well.
Aeon Tebrau shopping mall, JB Malaysia We read that this Mall is twice the size of Aeon Bukit Indah. Though I was able to read blogs on how big it is, I was not able to find its directory. AEON may have its website but I just cannot find its tenant list. So here is the tenant list that I manage to get when I was there recently. Though they have only 3 level, it is big enough for us to walk the whole day, practically shop until we drop. Ground floor 1st floor 2nd floor If you are food lover like me, you will find this place a food heaven. Especially you only pay 1/3 of the price for restaurant food we have to pay over in Singapore. Click here on what we ate at Aeon Tebrau . There are seats for shoppers to rest if you are tired Other than Padini, Uniqlo and other big brands, I found a new Jap brand here. The price range is just like Uniqlo but I feel the material for Co Co is better. Aeon Tebrau, I will come back again. Perhaps when I plan my n
Taipei Day 2 - 10 August 2017 1. Carrefour at Ximending 2. Ah Zhong Mian Xian near Pacific Sogo 太平洋SOGO 忠孝館 3. ATT 4Fun shopping Mall Our 1st day waking up in Taipei, feeling very excited to try whatever we already have in mind in Taipei. 1. Carrefour at Ximending Decided to visit this place as the Top priority as I just love grocery shopping when I am in another country. I love looking at what supermarket sell. Most of the time, I can find fresh fruits and alot of refreshment that we cannot find here. If not, just compare the prices and I can be very happy. You can say I "xiao". But thats me. Following the hint of another blogger, I took exit 1 at Ximending MRT station. Then used the google map to guide me walk there. Its about 10 to 15mins walk. Carrefour building So excited with this. Different kinds of drip coffee at reasonable prices. Chun Tsui coffee/tea. Only at NT22. Singapore is selling at $2.75 to $3+ 😲 Huge mangoes size of a
171202 - This time we walk around the whole reservoir. I guess it is about 11km. Took 4 hours to finish the whole course. Walk around the whole reservoir. Start from Venus Drive, go southwards to MacRitchie Reservoir, continued westward via Lornie Trail, then northwest to Golf Link, east to Sime Track and back to Venus Carpark. We took 4 hours. Feel so good. Spotted durian trees with lots of durian at Drongo Trail. One guy told us he climb and flip over the waist high fence from the boardwalk to check on the top right fruit but realised it has been eaten by some animals. After Drongo Trail, head southwards via MacRiche Nature Trail. You see such scenery until...... Joggers from school running fast n asking ppl to give way to them. That really spoil our peace n slowed down our walk. So it would be better to walk around 4pm if we like to explore this trail. About 1.5 hour time, we reach MacRitchie Reservoir Park. I guess we can do it within 1 hour if not because o
