Nature Walk - Woodlands Waterfront / Admiralty Park 12 May 2022

Weather : Bright sunny day. Hot Hot Hot.

Woodland Waterfront Park 12 May 2022.
I revisited this place with my 3 childhood friends.
This time it is a bright and sunny day.

Woodland Waterfront Park Dec 2019.
This picture was taken on a "going to rain" day. Dark clouds gathered and everywhere so gloomy.
I happened to visit this place because I took a wrong bus from the causeway checkpoint and decided to go with the flow. It was my 1st day of retirement and that gave me a very deep impact on what I did on my 1st day of retirement. This was my very 1st nature walk and everything I did solo on this date was enjoyable even though I took the wrong bus.

The park still look exactly like this when I re-visited today, 12 May 2020.

We continued the hike here. I like the natural settings here.

There are about 3 such bridges in this park. Love looking over the "river' on these bridges.

The trail started with paved road.

Then there is this wide road with fallen leaves - Autumn in Singapore?

The mangrove area - at low tide when we visited.

So glad was able to spot the Cicada with the help of my friend WC.

Admiralty Park - 12 May 2022.
LJ and WC also spotted the Goshawk.
Unfortunately, it flew into the bushes and due to the low light and sun behind, I was not able to capture a better picture.

Overall, Admiralty Park  is good enough for a short walk if we happened to be in the north. More for enjoying the greens. As for wild life, cannot expect much as the place is quite small compared to those located in the Bukit Timah Area.

What is outing without food?
LJ brought us to Marsiling Mall. There is a huge hawker centre on the ground level.
I decided to choose this fish soup from a stall next to the famous seafood soup stall that LJ recommended. It turned out this fish soup tasted so good that I kept craving for it, and I went back for it 2 days later.
The famous seafood soup sell soup that include prawns and it looks thick, not the "cheng cheng kind of soup" that I love. This is why I did not try it and opted for this typical teochew fish soup that I never regret.

My friend LS tried the dried ban mian opposite the famous Char Kuay Teow stall.
The topping look so delicious. LS said it taste good but a just that we do not understand why it was served with fine noodles and not ban mian.

After our feast LJ recommended a dian xin shop located at Blk 326 Woodlands St 32.
I tried the 3 in one bao at $1.20 each.
Red bean paste, Lotus seed paste and egg yolk.
Taste interesting.

The coffee bun $1 each taste more toffee instead of coffee.
Though not bad too.
I have also tried the BBQ pork but find it rather dry.

Overall, Marsiling Mall Hawker centre that I will come back again for more food.

2 days later, I came back for lunch after thinking of the fish porridge.
2 days later, we went back to the hawker centre.
My hubby ordered the porridge from #01-10.
At $5, it has alot of ingredients and a large servings.

After craving for it for 2 days, I have my share of fish soup again.
