Weather map shows patches of rain in the different parts of Singapore. Though weather forecast said it will rain in the afternoon, we decided to go to Jurong Lake Gardens even though it is already almost 10am. Since migratory season is almost over, there will not be alot of birds to spot. We might as well look for a nice park to walk and enjoy nature if wildlife do not appear.
As usual, we will start by exploring the South Promenade. The southern tip after the Neram Streams was nicknamed the cuckoo land due to the variety of cuckoos that visited this place during Dec 2021 to Jan 2022. This place is now quiet and we can see that house crows has taken over this park. It was drizzling today, but that did not stop us from exploring the northern side of the south promenade.

North of the Southern Promenade is the Rasau Walk. I love this place. It is here that we spotted a big Oriental Dollarbird today. |
The lone tree is located next to Rasau Walk surrounded by a grassland. The grassland looks like the mini Haneul park of Korea where the grass were so pretty. I love this place cause I can soak in the sun and spot the small birds like munias here. No luck for small munias today though. |

Oriental Dollar Bird Met this big bird (bigger than those we normally sighted) high up on a tree in Rasau Walk. |
Suddenly, it started to open its mouth. I was not at the right place for shooting due to its back light. |
Before I knew it, it started to cast a pellet. Thought not in my best focus I just have to click away. |
The process was so fast that less than a few seconds, the pallet was out. |
We did not manage to spot any other birds after the Oriental Dollarbird, perhaps due to birds nap time. So we head for lunch (About 1pm +-)
