190505 to 190510 London, England

190505 (Day 9 of England trip) London - It is the 1st of the 5 days in London that we planned for.
We have spent the 1st 8 days based in Salisbury,  traveled to a lot of places.

This morning we took the South Western Railway from Salisbury Station to Clapham Junction Station in London.
We forgot to tap at Clapham Junction before we broad the overground train to Kensington Olympia. As a result, we have to pay a penalty of 5 pounds each. Lucky for us, we met a very nice station staff whom allow 3 of us to pass the gantry with only 1 paying the penalty. He still teach us how to walk to our hotel. Thumbs up for this staff.

It was only a few minutes walk from Kensington Olympia to 88 Studios Hotel.

It was only about 12pm when we reach 88 Sutdios. We were lucky that the room is ready for us and we need not wait for 2pm to check in.
We were delighted to find that the room is spacious and clean.
Most of the retail shop will close at 6pm. Not wanting to waste too much time, we set off to Shepherd Bush Station for lunch. Found this shop, Leon  quite interesting and just next to the station. They served fusion food. We tried the Thai Curry with Lentil and kale with avocado salad. Not bad for a change in English Food.
Leon
Everyone said when you are in England, must try their tea.
So we tried this cafe located somewhere near Bond Street Underground station.
Good place to rest ourselves after window shopping.
But the tart is a mistake. The pastry is so hard.
It left such a deep impression that we do not want to have tarts in London anymore.
Burger and Lobster
We called and booked before we come to this outlet near Bond Street Station.
The restaurant is big and still, all the seats were taken up when we were there.
Food were good according to my daughters, the lobsters were delicious.
1 serving cost only 22 pounds. This is very cheap.
Since it is still early when we reach hotel, we decided to check out a convenience staff near the hotel,
Fresh Go. It is operated by Indians and has quite a lot of basic food for us if we are hungry.

190506 (Day 10 of England trip)
Spent the morning visiting Camden Town Market.
Like most of the tourist town in many countries, there is a place where tourist can look for souvenirs,  and plenty of food. Camden Town Market is such place if you are looking for a touristy place. This place is huge and you can really spend a few hours here.
We spent the afternoon visiting the Natural History Museum.
Friends who visited London before kept reminding me to visit this place. It is really a very lovely place to visit and I will recommend anyone visiting London for the 1st time to visit here too.
It is fee so should not miss.
You can find different kinds of food in London.
However, Wagamama is not a place to go if you are craving for Japanese Ramen.
Their Thai fried noodles is satisfactory but he Ramen do not taste like Japanese Ramen.
It taste more like vegetable soup noodles with little meat taste.
Its a no no for me.
190507 (Day 11 of England trip)
A morning spent at Leicester Square Area.
We came here for Chinatown, and realised there are much more to see here.
We actually wanted to try Poke in Chinatown, only upon arrival that we realised this shop only accept cards and no cash. We come across this Mexican restaurant and decided to try it out.
Chipotle, this Mexican fast food chain satisfy our craving for fresh greens vegetables.
While heading to Hyde Park, we realised Harrods is just round the corner.
So we decided to visit Harrods and take a look at the food hall.

Hyde Park
A little let down when I reach this pond. The place is kind of overcrowded by people and birds.
Yes, the park is big, other than this pond, there is a big square with grass....
To me, it is a little dry here.
We left Hyde Park in less than 1 hour and head towards Primark for our cheap shopping.
Basket with wheels provided if you want to shop in Primark.
Things were very cheap, provided you are able to find your sizes.
We bought a couple of cheap stuffs and do not mind coming back for more.
Before going back to our hotel, we decided to do take away from Wasabi.
Sushi from Wasabi. Not that much rice. So we can eat more. Regret that we did not buy more.

It is always good to buy food back to eat in our hotel room. This is another kind of enjoyment as we have quite a lot of space in our room.
See, there is a table for us. We felt very relax dining in our room with a big space.
190508 (Day 12 of England trip)
Weather forecast said that it will rain the whole day today.
True enough, when we wake up, it was already drizzling. Lucky for us, it was not raining heavily. So not that difficult to travel with the help of our umbrellas.

1st, we head to Victoria station for Apollo Victoria Theater to get bargain tickets for Wicked shows.
Next we head to King Cross Station to check out the Harry Potter shop - At Platform 93/4.
If you are a fan of Harry Potter, you can get the merchandise here.
Albertini - This is where we have our lunch.
Good Italian and recommended
Proceed to Apollo Victoria after lunch for our much awaited theater.
Wicked is what we are going to watch.
We truly enjoyed the show because we got the front seats tickets for only
£29.50 each, you can imagine how worthwhile the show meant to us.
Visited Covent Garden after our theater. It is also a recommended place to visit by our friends.
The only problem with this place is there is a shortage of toilets. Though they charged a pound for every person, it is still very crowded.
Another must visit eats. Flat Iron.
Big restaurant with young smiley staff. Nice steak.
We ended our day at Tesco Metro just at the corner from Flat Iron outlet. Got some biscuits for friends as we cannot find any interesting souvenirs for our friends yet.

190509 (Day 13 of England trip)
Our last full day in London. We will be flying home on the next day.
My sis has booked the Sky Garden tickets and we will be meeting at 3pm at the Sky Garden. What is best to do before visiting her? We decided to spend our time at Westfield Shopping Mall located just 1 stop away, Shepherds Bush.
Also managed to be able to taste the burgers at Five Guys in Westfield Shopping Mall.
Sky Garden, it is really worth to spend some time visiting this place. It rained when we reach the garden and the view was somehow affected. Still it was a nice place to meet up with my sister and have some tea here.
We also visited the National Gallery and was surprised the gallery was huge.
Ended the day with dinner in an Iris Inn.
That ends our trip in London and our whole trip in England.
We did not do anything the next day, have breakfast at McDonalds, check out at 12pm and spent our extra time shopping for souvenirs at the arrival hall of Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 and having tea in Giraffe Cafe.
To us, the trip is very long and quite tiring. So resting at Terminal 5 before catching our flight at 17.55 is the best thing to do.
