171017 Krin Beer Factory Tour, Cosmos Flower Park

The highlight of our whole trip. Not much information on how to register for Kirin Beer Factory Tour. We decided to go ahead using google maps.

First we need to take a JR train from Hakata Station to Yamagi Station.
From Yamagi Station, we are supposed to take a Local train (Amagi) line to Tachiarai Station.
Then we need to walk 20mins to Kirin Beer Factory.
Sounds that simple.

At Hakata Station, it took us almost 10 minutes to figure which line and how much to pay and buy the train tickets to Yamagi Station.
Then, we do not know which platform to go as there are many of them and all in Japanese.
We checked with Station staff and was told we need to wait for our train at Platform 6.
Internet map says we better take a exptress train and our train just left. The next express train is at 9.53am. We checked on the screen and they did indicate in the signage that its a local train (all in japanese). However, we say 9.50am, local train, 10am, local train. What happened to our express train?

Nevermind, we waited.  Google map says the next express train is at 10.13am.
When we see the next local train is at 10.15am, still local train, we sensed something is wrong.
We decided to check with the train staff again. Train staff said the 9.53 express train no more. Showing hand gesture. We thought its about no more express train? So I used my google map to show him the next train at 10.23am. He said platform 6. Oh my oh my

My ah loa needs to go toilet before waiting for our next train. LOL
So we have been sitting at platform 6 waiting for our express train supposed to arrive at platform 6.
We waited for almost 1 hour for our train.
Once we are on board the train, everything is very pleasant. We love this trip and would love to come back this place to explore more of this area.

From Hakata Station to Yamagi Station, we will pass by these field. The golden padi field. So beautiful

At Yamagi Station where we need to take the local train. We are in a small town with a basic toilet.

We are lucky to catch this tourist train. More of local tourist train. Inside was decorated with flowers and Cosmos parks pictures

Nice scenery between Amagi and Tachiarai Station. Tachiarai station is really in a very remote area. Beautiful!!!

Lucky to catch a Kirin Beer shuttle bus. We reach Kirin Beer Factory in less than 5 mins. We register at the counter and were told that the tour is in Japanese and in half an hour time.

We were given 20 mins to taste the beers featured there. 

Now the highlight, look at the cosmos flowers park

We walked back to the Train Station. On the way, we visited the supermarket. Prices here is cheaper than those in town.

Having not able to find food at Tachiarai Station, we decided to try out Yamagi station for food. In the google map, there is a shopping centre. But we found out the shopping centre is just 2 row of shop with the road painted green. All closed. Lucky, a local boy whom we asked for food directions tracked us down and bring us to have udon at one of the shops. So sweet of him.
