Our last full day in Taipei. Too many places to go. Better set our priority.

1. We have not eaten taiwan pan fried meat dumpling
2. Window shopping at East Metro Underground Mall and Zhongxiao East Road
3. Visit Wufenpu wholesale market
4. Taipei Main MRT station Underground Shopping Mall
5. One more round of shave ice

1) Sihaiyoulong pan fried dumpling shop四海遊龍鍋貼專賣店
We check with Hotel staff on where can we find Local Taiwan pan fried dumplings 鍋貼
Hotel staff told us there are actually 2 major food chain in taiwan.
Sihaiyoulong fried dumpling shop四海遊龍鍋貼專賣店 and Bafangyunji / 8ways 八方雲集
We search the map and looked for one nearest to hotel. Decided to choose this store as it has got a higher ratings by google reviews and we need to travel 2 MRT stops to this place. Most convenient.

The pan fried dumplings were very nicely done and the steam chive dumpling were crunchy. Very delicious. As for the tofu century egg, we expect a small portion, who knows we were served with a portion like - 4 times of those we ate in the restaurant. It is so refreshing that we also finish the whole thing. This is the first time we try taiwanese beef noodles. The soup is boiled by using salted vegetables (sour type) with la mian. The beef taste like stewed beef. Not bad too. The sour vege soup make the whole soup taste not too oily.

It is so good that we manage to finish it except the noodles.
 2. Window shopping at East Metro Underground Mall and Zhongxiao East Road
I know this is not a very common thing to do. Most of us would prefer to shop at cheap cheap places. But, having read it from blogs, I like to know if this is a place worth seeing.
Location - Between Zhongxiao Fuxing station and Zhongxiao Dunhua staion.
It is a very short shopping mall. Really nothing much. More for locals.
You can find cosmetic store, some boutiques, a korean store. 

So we decided to exit this place after a short walk. Did some window along the shops above these underground mall.






Have some coffee and cakes at  UCC cafe (check this link) while walking towards the MRT station for Wufengpu wholesale market.
3. Visit Wufenpu wholesale market
We actually do not want to visit this place as we know the merchandise here is not as cheap as those we find from Shilin Night market. However, since we have not seen anything we like, we decided to make a trip there. In the end, we did not get anything. We realised it is about the style that we do not like. Anyway, looking at the exchange rate, NT100 to NT200 per piece, is about $9 for a top. We can get it from Uniqlo or H & M over here at this price too. So not worth buying.

4. Taipei Main MRT station Underground Shopping Mall
We planned to shop here. However, since we have browse the place on our way to hotel on the 1st day, we realised not much clothing to buy here. However, since we do not want to visit any night market today, we decided to come here one more time. In the end, we bought quite a ot of things here.

We had dinner at Breeze Centre - one of the Japanese sushi restaurant that I need to talk about.
A very terrible restaurant with terrible service, so so food and high price. Totally not worth it. Must mark down and never ever eat it again. We though never mind if the price is a little higher, with the short queue, we can have our meals fast. Now we know why there are no queue. No one would want to patronise this place if they have got the same awful experience like us.

Waitress sent us to seats behind (without sushi belt). Then throw you 2 sheets of "menu" on the table. Seating area was really warm.  Food serve to us without utensils. They don't even bother to look at you or help you. In the end we get our own utensils, pour our own drinks, get the side dishes ourselves. Upon payment, we brought the order form from our table to cashier for payment. The waitress like thinking we will cheat them, walk back and forth to check the table and count the plates for at least 2 more trips. Then rudely asked if I have membership and mumbled something and close the payment. It seems that Taiwanese service standard has dropped terribly. Not mentioning, the cost of sushi are priced on the high. Similar the the cost of what Singapore restaurants are paying. Really waste of money and time dining here !!!

Needless to say more. Comfort food. This time we choose Kiwi, Strawberry and Mango. Yummy.

190728 Aeon Tebrau Malaysia

Aeon Tebrau shopping mall, JB Malaysia We read that this Mall is twice the size of Aeon Bukit Indah. Though I was able to read blogs on how big it is, I was not able to find its directory. AEON may have its website but I just cannot find its tenant list. So here is the tenant list that I manage to get when I was there recently. Though they have only 3 level, it is big enough for us to walk the whole day, practically shop until we drop. Ground floor 1st floor 2nd floor If you are food lover like me, you will find this place a food heaven. Especially you only pay 1/3 of the price for restaurant food we have to pay over in Singapore. Walking Trail - MacRitchie Reservoir

171202 - This time we walk around the whole reservoir. I guess it is about 11km. Took 4 hours to finish the whole course. Walk around the whole reservoir. Start from Venus Drive, go southwards to MacRitchie Reservoir, continued westward via Lornie Trail, then northwest to Golf Link, east to Sime Track and back to Venus Carpark. We took 4 hours. Feel so good. Spotted durian trees with lots of durian at Drongo Trail. One guy told us he climb and flip over the waist high fence from the boardwalk to check on the top right fruit but realised it has been eaten by some animals. After Drongo Trail, head southwards via MacRiche Nature Trail. You see such scenery until...... Joggers from school running fast n asking ppl to give way to them. That really spoil our peace n slowed down our walk. So it would be better to walk around 4pm if we like to explore this trail. About 1.5 hour time, we reach MacRitchie Reservoir Park.
